Do you have any plans for this character in the game? Nothing set in stone. Right now I'm just hoping this will be a good opportunity for her to get out more and make some friends, and possibly start developing some more healthy habits!

Did your character willingly come to Iyashikei? If yes, why? Yes. Kanade will do whatever she can to help people - as long as she knows time freezes back home, she'll be willing to lend her aid because she has a worryingly huge Savior Complex.
Will they need any special accommodations upon arrival? Nope!

Character's History: Kanade @ Project Sekai wiki

Character's Personality: Kanade is a deeply troubled, traumatized girl who nevertheless is extremely kind and compassionate and does her best to help others.

At first glance, Kanade might come off to some as cold or distant; she doesn't often talk more than she has to, and her face is usually a mask of neutrality. When she does show any kind of expression, it's very muted. This, however, isn't because of any kind of stoic or cold attitude - quite the opposite, in fact. Kanade is surprisingly warm and friendly to anyone she meets; she treats her housekeeper, Honami Mochizuki, more like a friend than someone paid to clean for her, asking her for help or advice on more than one occasion. She'll give away a copy of a rare CD from an artist she admires if it's the last one, purely because the girl next to her seems to want it as much as she does. No, it's not stoicism that holds Kanade back from expressing herself. Really, it's just... pure awkwardness. Kanade has spent the past two years alone in her own home, with most of her social contact being online or with the previously mentioned Honami. She's not used to dealing with people or many social situations, and in the rare times when she's outside not running errands, she'll let her friends take charge on what to do, and often plans these trips out around when she thinks there will be less people in the stores and streets. She's even outright gone home on the way to see a movie because it was too much effort to walk there and deal with people during a hot day.

Past that awkward shell is a very deeply caring, earnest girl. Kanade is endlessly supportive of her friends, and is a stalwort rock of support for them. Though she knows more often than not the answer is "i don't know", she often asks Mafuyu how she feels or what she might want when they're working on songs, or if they're out as a group. The answer is almost always the same, but she's still determined to give Mafuyu that choice, something she isn't given in other aspects of her life. She's incredibly encouraging of Ena's art as well; she knows that it's one of her friend's biggest insecurities, and she does her best to point out things she likes about all of Ena's pieces. They're not empty words, either! Kanade truly enjoys Ena's work. She's even encouraging of people she just met, like complimenting Ichika's lyric writing even after only reading one draft of one song. Kanade truly cares, deeply and earnestly, and knowing that others are happy is enough to make her happy.

Despite her rather meek appearance and mannerisms, Kanade has shown to be a fierce defender of those she cares about. This is most evident in her clash with Mafuyu's mother; though she initially went into the meeting with an open mind and a desire to understand the woman and find proof that she truly does love her daughter, Kanade's empathy dries up quite fast. She's able to see that Mafuyu's mother cares only for the Mafuyu she wants to see, and it's then that Kanade puts her foot down; this meek girl who has a hard time even talking to new people tells the woman to her face that she doesn't trust her, and reinforces her promise to always stay by Mafuyu's side. Even her manner of address changes to reflect this - though she refers to the woman as "Mafuyu's mother" for most of their meeting, after she's come to the conclusion that there's no real love in the woman's heart, she only ever refers to her as "that person", completely severing the connection in her eyes. She truly becomes the cold, icy girl that some might assume she is at first glance, refusing to even politely say goodbye when the two finally part ways. Kanade doesn't hate easily, not when it comes to people other than herself, but it's clear that when it comes to Her People, she transforms from a pathetic little wet cat to a roaring lion.

For all the love and compassion Kanade has for others, Kanade directs none of those warm feelings inward. Beneath that calm, caring shell is a heart torn apart by bitter, intense self-loathing. This stems from an incident two years ago; her father, realizing that Kanade's music had overshadowed his own in her attempts to help him, began to work harder and harder to improve his own sound. He hid all this from Kanade, putting on a brave face for her even as he struggled, until one day he collapsed from stress, falling into a coma for over two years. Kanade completely blames herself for this; she believes that her music hurt her father, that her talent was a curse, not a gift. She spiraled into a depression so deep she contemplated starving herself to death, but in the end, she came to a conclusion: she would find a reason to keep on living through atonement. Her father thought her music could help people, so that's what she'd do: she'd write music, day in and day out, to save people. Only then could she atone for what she did to her father. And Kanade takes this vow very seriously. She stopped going to school, instead signing up for online homeschooling. She works for days on end sometimes, subsisting only on the meals Honami preps for her and instant noodles (because there's no effort in making them and she doesn't even have to leave her room). She realizes that such a lifestyle takes a toll on herself - she's worked herself to starvation before, and had to be hospitalized because of it - but she doesn't care. Kanade doesn't care about Kanade, only what Kanade can do for others. Even when flat out asked, Kanade doesn't hesitate to admit that she still feels like she wants to "disappear".

This has started to change. Little by little, Kanade is starting to see more of what she can do for her friends, rather than just seeing herself as a vessel for her music. When she initially decided to start exercising, her goal was to use it as a way to get past a composer's block, to get her brain flowing better so she can keep on composing. But by the end of the day, she realized that she's allowed to work on improving herself - that she's allowed to be happy. Her friends like seeing her happy. And in turn, she realizes that it's not just her savior complex at work when it comes to her goal of "saving" Mafuyu; she doesn't want to just chase some still-intangible goal of "saving" her, she wants to be able to make her smile with her music, like her father once did with Kanade and her mother. She wants to be the light to the people she cherishes, who are caught so deeply in the dark. And she's willing to take the hard, shaky steps forward to achieve that.

Character Abilities: Kanade herself is 100 percent normal human, with no magic or supernatural abilities to speak of. What she does have, though, is a song that acts as a portal to what is called a "Sekai" - a pocket dimension "born from feelings". There's nothing inherently special or supernatural about the space, other than the fact that it's almost entirely empty outside of some ruined structures and an ominously deep lake, and that alternate versions of various Vocaloids make their home there. Kanade can bring things into the Sekai and bring them out again, but cannot use it for travel to the homes of others who visit that particular Sekai, and can't take other people not connected to the Sekai into it with her. It's just kinda a space to hang out in.

As discussed in the FAQ, while she has access to the Sekai when in-game, she can't bring things from home back out with her, and none of the Vocaloids will show up while she's there.
